May 30th, 2018

Bloom Festival is Ireland’s largest garden, food & family event that has been taking place in the Phoenix Park every year since 2007. The event was launched by Bord Bia and showcases the very best gardening and food industry around the country for five days over the June Bank Holiday weekend.

The show was inspired by similar successful garden shows such as the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and RHS Hampton Court Palace, and it continues to develop and evolve each year as it attracts over 100,000 visitors.

This year Bord Bia’s Bloom will run from the 31st of May to the 4th of June 2018. The event is a great family outing opportunity and has something to offer for all ages which include, arts, crafts, music, food, drinks, workshops, live cookery and beautiful show gardens.

With over 20 different garden shows with spectacular floral features to get inspiration from, certain awareness such as skin cancer, gender inequality, the challenges of urban living and biodiversity are among the messages that will be brought to life in some of the spectacular garden shows in this event. The different showcases in Bloom continue to be a colourful platform for many organisations to communicate strong health and charitable messages.

If you are a garden/flower enthusiast, there are also floral and nursery displays, plant village, botanical art exhibition and gardening workshops.
