1. Temple Bar
Temple Bar is no secret, and will likely be packed to the brim on Valentines night. The tourist capital of Dublin, the streets will be lined with people young and old taking in the plethora of folk music in the many famous pubs.
2. Stella Theatre
Originally opened in 1922, The Stella Theatre has once again become one of Dublin’s favorite date spots. Food and cocktails can be bought and brought into the theatre on the night, where the luxury leather armchairs line the vintage red hallways. The line up for Valentines Day has not been announced yet, so make sure to keep an eye out on as tickets will sell fast for whatever romantic screening they put on!
3. Iveagh Gardens
The little known getaway off Harcourt Street makes for an amazing Valentines spot, weather permitting! Surrounded by office blocks, you would not be blamed for missing this pristine park, however it is open to the public 24/7! Get away from the hustle and bustle spend the day with your date in one of Dublin’s little known gems.
Dalkey itself is a naturally romantic location. Located by the sea, the area has an “old town” vibe to it, helped by the rustic restaurants and decades old pubs. During the day, there are gorgeous seaside walks along the 40 foot, and you can take a trip out to Dalkey Island! If you are looking for a restaurant, “De Villes” is located in the heart of the town and is a must for any seafood connoisseurs.
5. Marco Pierre Whites
Marco Pierre Whites has established itself as one of the highest class restaurants in the City with their establishment on Dawson Street. Trip Advisor has given Maro Pierre Whites a rating of 4 out of 5, with the most recent reviews speaking about the “best steak in Dublin”. If you are not looking to go into the City Centre, there is also a restaurant in Donnybrook, similarly suitable for Valentines Day!
