It can be very frustrating when you can’t appreciate beautiful flowers because all they make you do is sneeze! And don’t forget to add the other symptoms such as nasal congestion, watery eyes and a runny nose. Very attractive, right?

 Beautiful Flowers

For those who have to suffer from allergies, do not worry because there is hope. We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy flowers where they are inside or outside of your home. And thankfully, there is a wide range of flowers that can be tolerated by allergy sufferers. We’ve listed the best flowers for allergy sufferers:

The rose is the most classic of flowers as it is an elegant flower. Surprisingly, roses should not trigger an allergic reaction in sensitive individuals. However, there are always cases where one might sensitively react, but a rose bouquet is considered to be safe. Check out our beautiful rose bouquet here.

Orchids are known to be one of the most allergy-friendly flowers. Although they are not pollen-free, the chances of their pollen floating around and becoming an irritant to someone is very low because they have sticky pollen that remains within the bloom.

Flowers don’t always have to be fluffy all the time. A flowering cactus or any other cacti plants is the perfect flower for people who are allergic to pollen. They require cross-pollination from another cactus to produce seed, but they do not depend on the wind to disperse it. That’s where the birds and the insects come in to do that for them. Cacti plants are low maintenance, so don’t be hesitant to gift one to someone who can be forgetful that they have a flower/plant to look after.

Another flower that has low allergen are peonies. Similar to the orchids, they do not rely on the wind for cross-pollination but instead the insects. Their pollens tend to be sticky and heavy which means it is less likely to float around in the air and cause an allergy reaction.

Now, breathe a pollen-free sigh of relief because not all flowers are forbidden! Be a little creative and extra careful with the bouquets you bring into your home, and you can fully admire flowers as much as those who don’t suffer from allergies at all.
